What it is for

The Taixuan of Yang Xiong uses eighty-one tetragrams with three kinds of line. This app offers a contemporary consultation by sign, with original explanations. It is separate from the sixty-four hexagrams and changing-line rules of the I Ching.

How to use it

Choose a theme and draw each of the four lines in order, from top to bottom. A line can be continuous, divided into two or divided into three. Once the sign is complete, open its reading. The same four line values always identify the same sign.

Reading your result

The large symbol and number identify the sign independently of language. Read its main theme and the suggested action in relation to your situation. The interpretation is symbolic; the app does not reconstruct the entire classical calendar or its nine appraisals for each sign.
