We use astronomical longitudes, Lahiri sidereal reference, seven classical planets and mean lunar nodes. Every 30-degree sign divides into nine parts of 3 degrees 20 minutes. D1 and D9 use whole-sign houses only when their ascendant is stable; polar ascendants are omitted. Birth dates span 1900–2098. The meanings are symbolic, with no guaranteed marriage date or factual description of a future partner.

What it is for

Navamsa is a divisional chart used in Vedic astrology. This app compares its D9 positions with the sidereal D1 chart and offers a brief symbolic reading of development, values and relationships. You can then open the planet details to explore how the two maps relate.

How to use it

Enter the birth date, time and locality, or coordinates with a known UTC offset. If the time is approximate, choose a margin of uncertainty. If it is unknown, select that option instead of inventing a time. Ambiguous clock changes require choosing which occurrence of the time is intended.

Reading your result

Stable positions receive a clear reading. Where the time range or calculation margin crosses a boundary, the possible signs are shown and a single interpretation is withheld. Without a known time there are no invented ascendant or houses. The comparison includes repeated D1–D9 signs, called vargottama, only when both positions are stable.
