Dominomancy reveals the future through domino tiles. A divinatory art popular in Spain with centuries of history.
Domino divination (dominomancy) is the art of reading with domino tiles: 28 pieces bearing two numbers each (from double-blank to double-six) offering 28 distinct readings. Practised in Spain and Latin America since the 18th century, this popular tradition became celebrated in cafés and humble homes where tarot cards were unavailable but dominoes were always on hand. This app honours the traditional reading and delivers the meaning of the tile drawn for your question.
The game of dominoes reached Europe from China in the 17th century and became enormously popular. In Spain and Italy, in cafés and taverns where the game was played constantly, some intuitive mind applied the 28 tiles to divinatory ends: each number combination was assigned a traditional popular meaning passed down through oral tradition.
The classical technique: 28 tiles face-down and shuffled, the querent chooses three tiles with the left hand while concentrating on the question. The first tile indicates the past or cause, the second the present or conflict, the third the future or outcome. The app simulates the selection using the same traditional meanings.
Some classical meanings: Double six (6/6): maximum fortune, everything in your favour. 6/5: a fortunate meeting, unexpected help. 6/4: loss or disappointment. 5/5: a significant change, generally positive. 4/4: family joy, celebration.
3/3: immediate financial success. 2/2: danger, caution. 1/1: faithful friendship, a true bond. Double blank (0/0): the worst tile — do not attempt what you had in mind right now. 0/1: visit from a stranger. 0/6: a gift received. The AI combines the meanings of all three tiles into a coherent story.
